Club night and my first in a couple of weeks due to other commitments- a blast from the past with a DBA tutorial for some of our newer members who picked it up fast, and refresher for others.
First off two games with Romans v Carthaginians, one victory each, followed by a Persian defeat of a Greek army.
For the past 29 years I've said my ancients need to be refreshed, they are on the list of things to do. There's an ancient Egyptian, Hittite, Sea People and Classical Indian army next to the painting desk - must get cracking.
In the meantime - old Airfix Romans stood in for a Polybian army, bought 2nd hand from a classified ad in the back of Miniature Wargames way back in the very late 80s. The Carthaginians are a mix of Airfix, Revell and Esci, and an old baby Britain's elephant a la Terry Wise. Great fun and must get my butt into gear for more painting
