Navigating the Chaos and Looking Ahead

Howdy Wargamers,

We hope this blog finds you well. The past 6-8 weeks at Battle Honours 3D have been nothing short of organized chaos! After our Kickstarter, we anticipated a few teething issues and took proactive steps to mitigate them—failing to plan is planning to fail, as they say. We preordered new machines to handle the additional workload, arranged for more hours for our pick and pack team, tested prints and postage, and covered all our bases. Despite these efforts, we underestimated the popularity of our ACW range and faced some unexpected hurdles.

Our older printers, which have been with us since we launched in December 2022, decided they’d had enough and broke down. In an effort to ensure the durability of our figures, we experimented with different resin blends. I even gave Gordon a heart attack by throwing models on the floor to prove the blend’s strength—don’t worry, they survived!

However, shipping mishaps from Royal Mail, UPS, and Parcel Force added to our challenges. From packages taking unplanned tours of the US to parcels arriving flat as pancakes, we’ve seen it all. As a result, we’ve decided to send figures and snake fences with supports still on to reduce damage during transit. This means a bit of extra work on your end, but it ensures the figures arrive in one piece. Jordon has made a helpful video to guide you through removing supports, and rest assured, our figures come ready-built—no glue required!

We’re sticking to our strict two-wash system to ensure your models are completely clean: a dirty wash for 4 minutes, followed by a clean wash for 4 more minutes, and then fully cured. While we aim to air the models as much as possible, our priority is getting your items to you quickly. Check out our latest blog for more information on support removal. Here

We’re still fine-tuning our smaller than 13.5mm range, so stay tuned for updates.

On a lighter note, we’re excited to announce our new “In the Pipeline” section on our website, where we’ll share sneak previews of upcoming ranges including, Napoleonic, WW2, 7 Years War... This is your chance to weigh in on which range we release next!

We’ve also launched an affiliate program with a new backend system that benefits both affiliates and their followers with initial discounts. If you have a small following interested in our wargaming range, get in touch to see how we can collaborate.

As a heads up, we are taking some time off and won’t be able to fulfill orders from 25th July – 8th August. Since we launched back in December 2022, we’ve not had any time off to recoup and recover, so we will work tirelessly before going away to get all orders out and dispatched before we take a little vacation.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone for your patience. We know some orders have taken longer than expected, and we’re doing our best to get them to you as quickly as possible. Sometimes we face delays waiting for spare parts, which is just as frustrating for us as it is for you. Rest assured, our priority is fulfilling existing orders before launching new ranges or driving more sales. While I might not always be as active on emails and chats, please know I’m working hard to get your orders out the door. Orders are produced on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thanks for your understanding and support!

Best,
Michael
