Colonial Caribbean Terrain Has Arrived at Battle Honours 3D

We are pleased to officially launch our new Colonial Caribbean Terrain range at Battle Honours 3D.

This new collection focuses on historical Caribbean settlements, pirate ports, colonial trade towns, plantation estates, harbour districts, and naval coastal scenery inspired by the Golden Age of Piracy and the wider colonial Caribbean during the 17th and 18th centuries.

The range has been designed for historical wargaming, pirate tabletop games, naval campaigns, harbour layouts, tropical island settlements, and detailed Caribbean themed dioramas.

A New Direction for Historical Terrain

The Colonial Caribbean range introduces an entirely new environment to the Battle Honours 3D catalogue.

Instead of European cities or traditional battlefield terrain, this collection focuses on:

  • Tropical harbour towns

  • Coastal forts

  • Plantation estates

  • Dockside workshops

  • Taverns and warehouses

  • Harbour storehouses

  • Churches and civic buildings

  • Shanty settlements

  • Naval port infrastructure

These environments became the centre of colonial trade, naval warfare, smuggling, piracy, and Caribbean expansion throughout the age of sail.

The goal with this range was to create terrain that feels interconnected and believable on the tabletop, allowing players to build full harbour districts, plantation layouts, dockside streets, and colonial settlements rather than isolated terrain pieces.

Designed for Historical and Fantasy Tabletop Gaming

While the range is heavily inspired by historical Caribbean architecture and colonial settlements, the terrain also works extremely well for fantasy tabletop games and roleplaying settings.

The buildings naturally fits Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Fantasy pirate campaigns, Tropical island adventures, Coastal fantasy towns, Smuggler ports, Merchant settlements, Naval fantasy encounters.

Many fantasy roleplaying games rarely receive properly themed tropical terrain despite harbour towns, pirate coves, island forts, and colonial style settlements appearing regularly in campaigns.

The combination of docks, taverns, warehouses, churches, mansions, shanty towns, and coastal forts makes the range suitable for:

  • Tavern encounters

  • Port investigations

  • Smuggler hideouts

  • Harbour ambushes

  • Naval boarding scenarios

  • Island strongholds

  • Fantasy trade settlements

  • Coastal siege encounters

The terrain works equally well for grounded historical tables and fantasy adventures, making it suitable for both wargamers and roleplaying groups.

Designed for Pirate and Naval Wargaming

This collection works particularly well for:

  • Pirate tabletop gaming

  • Naval warfare campaigns

  • Historical skirmish games

  • Caribbean harbour battles

  • Coastal assault scenarios

  • Plantation defence games

  • Tropical settlement layouts

  • Historical dioramas

Many of the sets are designed as larger themed terrain bundles rather than single buildings, helping create fuller tables with more visual density and better gameplay layouts.

Several sets include combinations of Boats, Jetties, Palm trees, Crates, Barrels, Dockside accessories, Multiple buildings, Harbour scenery. This helps create more immersive Caribbean settlements directly out of the box.

Historical Inspiration

The range takes inspiration from colonial Caribbean settlements across the Spanish, British, French, and Dutch Caribbean during the height of naval trade and piracy.

Many of the buildings were influenced by:

  • Caribbean port towns

  • Plantation architecture

  • Harbour districts

  • Colonial administrative buildings

  • Naval dockyards

  • Coastal defensive positions

The terrain is intended to work across a wide range of historical Caribbean settings rather than representing a single location.

True Scale Correctly Sized Terrain

As with the rest of the Battle Honours 3D range, the new Colonial Caribbean Terrain collection has been designed in True Scale proportions.

This allows buildings, streets, and layouts to appear more realistic alongside properly scaled miniatures, ships, docks, and terrain pieces.

The range is available in multiple scales including:
12mm, 15mm, 1/100 Scale, 1/87 - HO Scale, 20mm, 1/76 - OO Scale, 1/72 Scale, 25mm, 28mm, 1/48 Scale, 40mm, and 54mm.

This is only the beginning of the collection, with further Caribbean themed terrain already planned for future releases coming next month.
