Only a few days till SELWG and with so much still to do, can't afford to be distracted so, off to the Old Wild West tonight and immediate disclaimer, other than a few more bits undercoated, there's still a lot more to do. Anyway, Club night game #1....
Using "The Rules with no Name" first published in Wargames Illustrated back in 1996, highlights of the evening were Junior General putting my characters unconscious body in the coffin, convincing the Undertaker I'd passed away and hoping I'd be buried far enough under not to play any further part. It was not to be - Eli recovered, shot Jesse James and whilst Carlos rendered Charlie immobile, snuck Siobhan into a hotel room and hid her from danger.
Charlie O'Donnell pulled himself together and, bursting into the hotel, announced very loudly that he was joining the Temperance League, smashing all the whiskey bottles behind the bar.
This was just a ploy, his insidious plan was soon revealed when he struck a match and proceeded to burn the hotel.
Could he, Siobhan and Eli escape in time? Sadly not, Eli was knocked unconscious again defending Siobhans honour on the balcony, he perished in the inferno. Charlie, as he dashed from within, ran straight I to a well aimed shot from Carlos.
Siobhan, always a quick witted lass, whipped of her petticoats and fashioned them into an escape rope. Shimmering down the outside from a first floor window, her parasol protecting her modesty.
Having bested the best but not nabbed the lass, Carlos slunk away for some good ol' Enchiladas and a bottle of beer....
