The conflict began in the Holy Roman Empire but expanded as major powers including the Habsburg monarchies, Sweden, France and numerous German states became involved. Armies combined musketeers, pikemen, artillery and varied cavalry types, creating a rich setting for tabletop battles and campaigns.

The Peace of Westphalia in 1648 brought the war to an end and reshaped European politics. Use this collection for historical wargaming scenarios ranging from small engagements to larger pike-and-shot battles.
