Serendipity struck tonight when the cards used for random activation were left behind. Necessity is the mother of invention and some on the spot activation rules made up for "The rules with no name" - so how did it work?
Scenario, 4 players, two were the "Hatfields" the other two were Bounty hunters on behalf of the McCoys.
4 Hatfield characters in the saloon, with one extra for each player on look out.
Bounty hunters in 2 teams of four. Both sides had 1 legend, 1 shootist and 2 extras.
Bounty Hunters get $100 dollars for each Hatfield captured or killed.
Activation - 2 D12 rolled each turn. Players were numbered 1-3,4-6,7-9 and 10-12. If two in the same range were rolled, they could choose two actions for one character or spread it about. Gave each player the chance to aim before firing. Non aggressive actions, such as tying up a downed character, the player rolled a D6 and if it didn't match the number in my hand (and shown to another player as witness) they could perform that action. Worked really well and the game ran more quickly than usual. The Hatfields managed to get several characters off but Alex Graham managed to shoot down 1 to collect the $100 for his character and Dave S, who had all his characters knocked down or out, took over Old Abe who despite his wooden leg managed to knock down two, truss 'em up and claim his $200 Bounty. Good fast fun game with some funny moments
