What’s New in Our Napoleonic Range?
Our new range features a diverse selection of historically accurate sets, perfect for recreating epic battles and adding authenticity to your games. Here are some standout additions, along with their historical backgrounds:
- Elite Sets: These figures represent the cream of Napoleon’s military might, such as the Imperial Guard, which was famously known as “The Immortals.” They played crucial roles in battles like Austerlitz (1805) and Waterloo (1815), often acting as the last reserve, bolstering French lines when the battle hung in the balance.
- Napoleon: The iconic leader himself, Napoleon Bonaparte, who commanded his forces across Europe during the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815), reshaping the continent with his military genius. This figure captures him during his peak command.
- Vivandiers: These brave women, also known as cantinières, accompanied French armies, providing essential supplies and boosting troop morale. Vivandiers were common from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, seen on battlefields such as Jena (1806) and the long retreat from Russia (1812).
- Royal Horse Artillery: Known for their speed and effectiveness, the Royal Horse Artillery provided crucial support to British infantry and cavalry. They were notably active in battles such as Salamanca (1812) and Waterloo (1815), where their rapid deployment of artillery helped break enemy formations.
- Scots in Kilts: Representing the famous Highland regiments, these figures depict the fierce Scottish warriors who fought with distinction in numerous battles, including Quatre Bras (1815) and Waterloo. Known for their distinctive kilts and fearsome reputation, the Highland regiments were a symbol of British resolve.
- Mules and Female Guerrillas: The mules played a vital role in the Peninsular War (1808-1814), transporting supplies across the rugged Spanish terrain. The female guerrillas were part of the Spanish resistance, fighting against Napoleon’s occupation and famously disrupting French supply lines, contributing to the eventual liberation of Spain.
- Cacadores: These light infantry were elite Portuguese troops, renowned for their sharpshooting and skirmishing abilities. They served alongside the British during the Peninsular War, particularly in battles like Bussaco (1810) and Fuentes de Oñoro (1811), where their skills in irregular warfare were crucial.
We have had some feedback following our ACW launch around some of our figures being a touch brittle and with people still having problems with removing supports, so we've made some changes, and have been using a new formula with combined percentages of resin, and completely resupported and adjusted supports on the whole of the ACW Range as well as this new Napoleonic Range.
- Sharper Details: Our improved resin formula captures even the smallest features, like the intricate braids of the Highland kilts or the finely detailed buttons of the Imperial Guard uniforms.
- Smooth Finish: Minimal layer lines ensure a superior painting experience with less prep work.
- Enhanced Durability: The updated resin is tougher, making your figures more resilient during gameplay and assembly.
