Portuguese Napoleonic miniatures represent the forces that fought alongside the British Army during the Peninsular War. This Battle Honours 3D collection includes Portuguese infantry, Cacadores, artillery and commanders for historical wargaming in the Iberian campaigns of 1808 to 1814.
The Portuguese Army in the Peninsular War
After French forces invaded Portugal, the Portuguese Army was reorganised and became an important part of Wellington's Anglo-Portuguese field army. Portuguese line regiments and light infantry served throughout the campaign, fighting in major operations that eventually carried Allied forces from Portugal and Spain into France.
The Cacadores became particularly associated with light-infantry duties, skirmishing and difficult terrain. Use this collection to build Portuguese contingents that can fight independently or alongside British and Spanish allies in historically themed Peninsular War armies.
