What’s Been Good

  • Detail and Realism: Many customers love the high level of detail that brings these figures to life.
  • Historical Accuracy: Customers like Alan J. appreciate how accurate our figures are to historical standards.
  • Packaging and Durability: Despite a rough journey, Dave mentioned how well-packed his figures were, arriving safely even when the box didn’t.
  • Excellent Sculpting: Jerry M. noted how our sculpt quality is consistently high, bringing intricate detail to each set.

Areas for Improvement and Our Next Steps

While the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, we’ve also identified some areas for improvement based on your reviews.

Scaling Issues

Some customers noted inconsistencies in figure sizes compared to other manufacturers. We understand that scaling can vary widely between manufacturers, and scaling is not always what has been claimed by other companies. We want to make sure your new figures fit seamlessly into your collection.

To ensure accuracy, please measure your existing figures before placing an order. It's crucial to measure from the base of the foot to the bridge of the nose. This way, we can be sure the new figures will fit alongside your existing range. Scaling is often misrepresented by other companies, and we want to avoid any surprises.

  • 13.5mm = 13.5mm
  • 15mm = 15mm
  • 18.5mm = 18.5mm
  • 20mm = 20mm
  • 1/76 = 21.2mm
  • 1/72 = 22.4mm
  • 25mm = 25mm
  • 28mm = 28mm
  • 30mm = 30mm
  • 40mm = 42mm
  • 54mm = 54mm
  • 75mm = 75mm

If everything looks good, no further action is needed. However, if you feel an adjustment is required, please let us know within 48 hours so we can make the necessary changes before production begins. After that, we’ll proceed with your current selection.

Historical Accuracy

At Battle Honours 3D, our figures are designed for historical accuracy based on campaign uniforms, not the polished parade uniforms or artworks imagined years after the conflict. This distinction is important as many manufacturers tend to romanticise figures based on modern Hollywood interpretations.

We encourage you to think about how many overweight soldiers you’ve seen in original photos from the Civil War or Napoleonic Wars. Obesity was rare among soldiers, especially during campaigns where food supplies were scarce, and figures should reflect that reality. Our figures are anatomically accurate to real human proportions, not exaggerated or unrealistic. We don't create "obese Mr Blobby" figures, but models that genuinely reflect the physicality of soldiers in the historical periods we represent.

Packaging, Breakages, and New Support Removal Service

To prevent any breakage during shipping, we’ve updated our resin formula to be more flexible. We completely resupported each figure individually, with new update supports to enable easier removal. We’re also dispatching figures with supports still attached to protect delicate parts in transit.

From 27th October, we are introducing an optional support removal service for a premium. If you choose this option, our team will carefully remove all supports before dispatching your figures. Please note that removing the supports may increase the risk of damage during shipping. The supports offer additional protection to the figures during transit, which is why we initially ship them with supports still attached.

By selecting the support removal service, you acknowledge that we cannot take responsibility for any damage that occurs during shipping. We’re happy to listen to any suggestions on how to get these figures shipped safely over long distances – we understand that customers in places as far as 12,000 miles away want their figures to arrive in perfect condition.

Check out our support removal video for a step-by-step guide if you prefer to remove the supports yourself.
